Note: For trademark reasons, we will not use the commonly known name that begins with “Y” and ends with “lite” on this site. Rockhound Erik Rintamaki coined and trademarked the name after discovering the glowing stones on a Lake Superior beach in  2017. Unless we purchase specimens directly from him or can verify a documented chain of custody through wholesalers, we will respectfully use the alternative scientific name, Fluorescent Sodalite Syenite, instead.

It is also known as Emberlite or Glowdalite, as many people find its scientific name difficult to pronounce.
